Steffan is a 23 year old singer and presenter from North Wales. He is currently based in Cardiff and is a member of Classical Brit Award Winning group "Only Men Aloud." He presents "Sioeau Cerdd Steffan Rhys" on BBC Radio Cymru - a musical theatre show featuring guests such as the award-winning actor and director, Daniel Evans, and the Olivier Award Winning Rebecca Trehearn.

He recently graduated with a First Class Honours Bachelor of Music Degree from Cardiff University, studying with the renowned Soprano, Gail Pearson. During his time there, he received the Sir Geraint Evans prize twice for outstanding vocal performances. In 2015, he won the Lady Herbert Lewis memorial prize at the National Eisteddfod of Wales, as well as winning the Urdd Bryn Terfel Scholarship in 2016.


Steffan was the Musical Director of 'Aelwyd y Waun Ddyfal' youth choir for three years. The choir, which currently has over one hundred members, achieved great success in the Urdd National Eisteddfod, as well as performing at DisneyLand Paris’ St David’s Day Festival. They also supported artists such as Russell Watson and Sam Bailey on their UK tours.


Steffan has experience in voicing Welsh Children's Cartoons. He recorded two series' of 'Y Teulu Mawr' ('The Large Family') at Sain Studios. More recently voicing the character ‘Tomos’ in the Welsh version of 'Thomas the Tank Engine'. This consisted of 40 episodes, as well as an hour long Christmas special. All this work was broadcast on S4C, internet and DVD.
